Crab Classic & Broccoli Pasta with Chardonnay Sauce
Ingredients
8 oz. Crab Classic, chunk style
12 oz small pasta shells
1 lb broccoli, chopped into small florets
1 tbsp butter
2 shallots, minced
2 1/2 cups Chardonnay wine
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
In a large pot of boiling water salted water, cook pasta, stirring occasionally, for 6 to 8 minutes or until tender. Add broccoli 3 minutes before end of cooking time; drain and keep warm. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat; cook shallots for about 2 minutes or until softened. Add Chardonnay; simmer for 8 to 10 minutes or until reduced by half. Add cream, salt and pepper; simmer for about 5 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan; toss with pasta, broccoli and Crab Classic.
